UPDATE 7/19/2020 9:30 am

Sheriff Kendall has updated us that phone service has been restored across Round Valley’s landlines.

As a result of line damage from the early morning fire in Covelo, as per Mendocino County Sheriff Matt Kendall, residents will be unable to dial 911 using their landlines. He emphasized that residents can still contact emergency services reliably using their cellular telephones.

Sheriff Kendall said, “Due to the fires in downtown Covelo, lines have been damaged disabling residents with landlines ability to call 911. 911 is still accessible via cellular phones. Sheriff Deputies will be on 24-hour patrol throughout Round Valley until the lines are repaired. Frontier Communications Staff are in the valley currently and have said the repair will be completed by Monday.”
