According to preliminary information offered by the United States Geological Survey Earthquake tracker, at about 5:29 pm a 2.6 earthquake hit approximately 6 kilometers Northeast of Fort Bragg.

Fort Bragg resident Kim Gillette reported she was sitting down for dinner when her family experienced “quick shake and heard dishes rattle.”
