Categories:

The following is a press release written by the Medical Director of Sherwood Oaks Doctor John Cottle:

Two new cases of Covid-19 have been identified at Sherwood Oaks as a result of repeat testing performed yesterday. They had both been exposed via roommates just prior to isolation procedures implemented last Friday. Both remain asymptomatic at this time.

The last resident In Sherwood Oaks’ isolation ward will be deemed fully recovered later today. All residents remain in protective isolation, and all were re-tested on Monday with most results still pending. Extraordinary efforts by a limited number of staff to halt the surge of cases are expected to be effective. An adequate number of nurses will have joined within a week, but nurse aides remain in critically short supply.
