Whenever Mendocino County Public Health publishes a new COVID-19 infographic, MendoFever will compare and contrast the data with the previous infographic in hopes to shed light on trends associated with the COVID-19 pandemic in Mendocino County.
The following statement accompanied tonight’s updated dashboard:
15 additional cases of COVID-19 have been identified in Mendocino County, bringing the total to 356. 1 additional death has been reported
?Most significant information gained from this evening’s infographic update provided by Mendocino County Public Health:
?There has been a 10th death in Mendocino County from COVID-19. Adventist Health President Jason Wells confirmed that a Mendocino County community member passed away this week in an Adventist Health facility. Providing a summation of Mendocino County’s COVID-19 related deaths, Wells said, “seven community members have passed away in Sherwood Oaks, one passed away in a Marin County rehabilitation facility, and two have passed away in Adventist Health Hospitals.” Wells asked the community to, “please remember the family and keep them in your thoughts and prayers.”
?Analysis of that data represented in today’s infographic with yesterday’s:
??????Demographics: Cases amongst the Hispanic/Latino Community increased by ten going from 200 to 210, and five of the new cases are demographically “unreported”.
??Age Ranges: One of the new cases is between the ages of “13-18”, eight of the new cases are from the ages of “19-34”, one of the news cases is from the “35-49” age range, four of the new cases are from the “50-64” age range, and one of the new cases is associated with the “65+” age range.
?? Gender of Infected: 164 of the infected are men(46%) 192 are women(54%).
?Source of Infection: The “close contact” category has increased by eleven growing from 158 to 169. The “community spread” category has increased by two growing from 42 to 44.The number of cases under investigation have increased by two moving from 115 to 117.
?Region of Cases: 13 of today’s cases originate in the “Ukiah Valley”, one case originates in the “South County”, and one case originates on the “South Coast.”
????Status of Patients: The number of Mendocino County residents in isolation increased by twelve from 67 to 79. The number of patients in the hospital decreased by three moving from 12 to 9. There are no patients in the intensive care unit. There has been a total of 356 individuals in Mendocino County who have tested positive for COVID-19. There are a total of 88 active COVID-19 cases.
?Testing: Comparing and contrasting testing numbers suggests two of today’s positives were analyzed in the Public Health lab and thirteen of today’s cases were analyzed in a commercial lab. The amount of tests pending is 2,130.
