The following is a statement released on the US National Weather Service Eureka California’s Facebook page:

Isolated thunderstorms will be possible over northeast Mendocino county and eastern Trinity county during Monday afternoon and evening. Dangerous cloud to ground lightning may occur with these storms. Remember, when thunder roars go indoors!
