The following is a press release issued by the Ukiah Police Department

On August 22, 2020 at approximately 2:10 AM, Officers were dispatched to the area of 548 Ford Street for numerous 911 calls reporting gun shots heard in the area. This address is a multi-unit apartment complex, which is within a residential area and is bordered by the 700 block of Sidnie Street to the north.

Upon arrival, Officers began contacting reporting parties and residents in an attempt to identify the responsible parties. Officers located nine expended casings in the roadway of Sidnie Street, where it intersects with the north drive way of the apartment complex. Officers learned a dark colored pick-up truck was seen leaving the area of the shooting. Officers canvased the area for victims and / or damaged property and located none. Officers also reviewed surveillance footage from near-by residents, as part of the investigation. These recordings are being analyzed for further investigative leads.

Officers are continuing to investigate this incident and urge anyone with information to contact the UPD.
