Evacuation Warning Issued for Mendocino County Areas within the Mendocino National Forest North of Hull Mountain

The following is a statement issued by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office on their Facebook page:

Evacuation Warning issued for all Mendocino County Areas within the Mendocino National Forest north of Hull Mountain. Be prepared to leave. If you feel unsafe, do not wait, leave immediately. Monitor media and Nixle. Do not call 9 1 1 for information. Call 9 1 1 for life-threatening emergency only. Use safest evacuation route possible.

MCSO also issued the following Nixle alert addressing the evacuation warning:

An Evacuation Warning has been issued for all Mendocino County Areas within the Mendocino National Forest north of Hull Mountain.

This action is necessary to address the fact that numerous private in-holdings (cabins, primary residences, and undeveloped private lands) exist within the boundary of the Mendocino National Forest.

Instructions:

Be prepared to leave. If you feel unsafe, do not wait, leave immediately. Monitor media and Nixle. Do not call 9 1 1 for information. Call 9 1 1 for life-threatening emergency only. Use safest evacuation route possible.
