Evacuation Orders Reduced to Warnings in the Area of Hayshed Basin

The following press released was issued by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office:

Zone B and Zone B.1 have been reduced from an Evacuation Order to an Evacuation Warning. Zone B is described as the area “south of Green Lambert Canyon, east of the Middlefork of the Eel River, north and west of Hayshed Creek.” Zone B.1 is the area “south and east of Hayshed Creek, north of Thatcher Creek and Jack Hollow Creek, west of Chimney Rock.”

Please note:

  • An Evacuation Order means residents of an affected area should leave now and the area is closed to the public.
  • An Evacuation Warning means the residents of the area should prepare to leave if ordered to do so.
