Man Sought for Assault with Deadly Weapon Sighted in Redwood Valley and Arrested, Says MCSO

The following is an updated press released from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On 10-22-2020 at 7:20 P.M. Deputies were dispatched to a sighting of Javier Mendez (who had an active felony arrest warrant) in the 7700 block of Redwood Valley, California.

Deputies responded to the area, locating Javier Mendez confirming the arrest warrant with Sheriff’s Office Dispatch.

Mendez was subsequently booked into the Mendocino County Jail where he was to be held in lieu of $30,000.00 bail.
