Listen to the Poetry of Edgar Allen Poe Tonight on KZYX, Performed by Mendocino Theatre Company

Mendocino Theatre Company’s 2020 reading series continues “on the air” with AMERICAN GOTHIC, with a reading of works by Edgar Allan Poe.  The reading will be broadcast on local community radio station KZYX tonight, Thursday, November 5th at 7:00 pm.

Directed by Lynn Sotos, AMERICAN GOTHIC features four of Poe’s poems — “The Bells”, “The Raven”, “Annabel Lee”, and “The Conqueror Worm” — and dramatizations of two of Poe’s most-beloved short stories, “The Tell-Tale Heart” and “The Cask of Amontillado”, adapted for radio by Mark W. Jordan.

AMERICAN GOTHIC features Pamela W. Allen, Janet Atherton, Nancy Bartke, Daniel Brewer, Mark Friedrich, Mervin Gilbert, Mark W. Jordan, Crystal Leatherwood, Scott Menzies, & Steven P. Worthen, with sound production and design by Ken Krauss.  Special thanks to Sandra Hawthorne.
