On 11-06-20 K9 Ruddick was discharged from VCA PetCare East Veterinary Hospital in Santa Rosa.

Ruddick was reunited with his longtime partner, Sergeant Joey DeMarco, and is recovering at home at this time.

Ruddick has been fighting against reoccurring symptoms of infection since his surgery and will be re-evaluated by VCA PetCare East Veterinary Hospital doctors early next week.

In the meantime, Ruddick and Sergeant DeMarco are enjoying their reunification in hopes of good news next week.

The Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all that have expressed well wishes during Ruddick’s medical emergency and for the ongoing support of the Sheriff’s Office K9 program.
