According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information Page, at 12:35 p.m. a vehicle went off a cliff along the single-lane, windy Highway 175 between Hopland and Lake County. The scanner indicates that along with the driver are two infants and major injuries are reported. It is unclear which of the occupants is injured.
The CHP Incident page indicates the vehicle was headed west bound when the vehicle went off the cliff. Now, a subject is trapped in the vehicle with a head injury.
The scanner indicates the vehicle is 50 feet over the bank of the road within trees and shrubs. The reporting party says they can hear law enforcement’s sirens.
UPDATE 1:04 p.m.
The Incident Commander reported over the scanner that one of the toddlers has been extricated with minor injuries and the other three occupants are still trapped in the vehicle.
UPDATE 1:33 p.m.
Scanner traffic indicates all four occupants have been extracted from the vehicle and are being transported via ambulance to receive medical aid.

Highway 175 remains closed as crews extricate the vehicle, as per the Cal Trans District 1 Twitter page.

The Caltrans District 1 Twitter has announced that Highway 175 is now open to one-way traffic.
