Scanner traffic indicates Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office and State Parks are being requested to investigate reports of gun fire near Big River approximately 3-4 miles up Haul Road. Dispatch indicated they had received reports of an individual “floating down the river firing a rifle.”
An officer noted on the scanner that the area was known for duck hunting.
