Driver Found Unconscious Behind the Wheel After Single Car Crash Slows Traffic on Highway 101 North of Laytonville

According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page, traffic is slowed and a single lane is blocked after a full size Dodge pickup was involved in a single vehicle accident near mile marker 73 north of Laytonville.

The CHP Incident page indicates the driver has possibly been drinking and first responders reported over the scanner the driver was found unconscious behind the wheel.

The wrecked pickup is currently blocking the northbound lane, as per the CHP Incident page.

UPDATE 10:07 p.m.

The scanner indicates that the driver is becoming aggressive and will be transferred to the hospital for a blood alcohol test.
