The following is a press released issued by the Petaluma Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
On January 8, 2021 the Petaluma Police Department began a criminal investigation into the sexual battery of a 27-year-old woman that occurred the previous day. The suspect was identified as Steven Jette, a Petaluma-based chiropractor from whom the victim had been receiving treatment.
Subsequent investigation corroborated the victim’s account, and Jette was arrested on the afternoon of January 19, 2021. Jette was later booked at Sonoma County Jail.
