Willits Grade Closed as Conditions Deteriorate

Scanner traffic indicates that the Willits Grade portion of Highway 101 has officially closed as snow continues to fall diminishing visibility leaving several cars stranded.

Social media users reported throughout the evening lines of cars ascending and descending the Willits Grade bumper to bumper as snow fell and visibility was limited.

According to the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page the north bound closure is located at near the exit to Uva Drive.
