At approximately 7:15 a.m., a trailer caught on fire on Covelo’s Tabor Lane about “halfway” down the street, as a local described the location.
CalFire and Covelo Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene. As of 7:51 a.m., a Covelo resident told us, “there is still lots of black smoke but they seem to have a handle on it.” Scanner traffic confirms that responders are just “mopping up” the fire at this point.
