Residents attempting to extinguish the flames 
According to a Covelo resident, tribal police have detained a woman at the Hidden Oaks Casino who purposefully rammed another driver with her Subaru Outback and pursued the victimized vehicle around town. The resident watched as the pair pulled into the casino gas station where tribal police were waiting and able to quickly arrest the woman.
Scanner traffic confirmed that during the pursuit, a vehicle vs. vehicle collision occurred that responding officers are characterizing as an assault. Dispatch told responding officers that one subject has been detained and been placed in a tribal police patrol vehicle.
The resident told us the woman driving the vehicle was experiencing mental duress. The resident said that after the driver of the Subaru Outback rammed the Toyota 4Runner, the Subaru was on fire and continued the pursuit erratically around town.
