The following press release was issued by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office:
On March 10th, 2021 at approximately 4:42 PM, the victim located near Clark’s Island and E. State Hwy 20 in Clearlake Oaks, succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced deceased. An investigation into the cause of death is ongoing and is being treated as a homicide. A cause of death will be determined at the conclusion of an autopsy. The identity of the decedent will be withheld pending notification of next of kin.
This homicide investigation is ongoing and being investigated by the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit.
