Mendocino County’s 45th COVID-19 Casualty was a 57-Year-Old Ukiah Woman

Categories:

This morning’s Mendocino County Public Health COVID-19 Dashboard update revealed that four additional residents have tested positive for COVID-19 and another life has been lost to the virus. This marks the 45th Mendocino County resident that died due to the virus.

Ashley Toxqui, Mendocino County Public Health’s Public Information Officer, told us the county’s 45th death was a 57-year-old Caucasian woman from the Ukiah area. Toxqui did not know whether the resident passed away in hospice, a hospital, or at home.

Though Mendocino County’s daily positive cases have decreased dramatically in recent weeks, Toxqui emphasized that the recent death gives residents “every reason to continue to shoulder our individual responsibility to maintain COVID-19 precautions, even though many counties are opening up further.”
