Scanner reports and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicate at 6:40 a.m. a driver crashed a stolen white Toyota Tacoma into a tree on the intersection of Covelo’s Henderson Lane and Foothill Boulevard.
According to the CHP Incident Information page, the driver was said to have fled in another vehicle after they collided with the tree.
UPDATE 7:20 a.m.
The dispatcher relayed to responding units that Tribal Police and/or a game warden have found the vehicle the driver is suspected to have fled in and are actively following it.
UPDATE 7:27 a.m.
The vehicle the suspect is reported to have fled in is a black Chevrolet Silverado with aftermarket wheels/tires, as per the dispatch.
