Humboldt County Sheriff Confirms Bones Found in Field’s Landing are Human Remains [Warning: Article Contains Photos of Remains]

The following is a press release issued by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office:

On March 22, 2021, at about 5 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the Fields Landing area for the report of human remains located in the mudflats north of the Fields Landing Boat Ramp.  

Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies and a deputy coroner responded to the scene and recovered skeletal remains. The remains have not been identified and appear to have been submerged underwater for some time. No further information is available at this time.

More information will be released when available.
