Over 8,000 residents from the Covelo and Laytonville areas all the way north to Fort Seward, Petrolia and Redcrest are without power this morning. According to PG&E’s Outage Map, the rural areas went dark about 3:40 a.m.

PG&E is listing both a weather related problem to equipment issue as causes in different areas of the outage but have yet to list a possible time of restoration for most of the area.

We have requested more information from PG&E and will update when we have it.
