Jared Skaggs, a Mendocino County resident known for his support of the local music scene and being a bartender at Ukiah’s Forest Bar, needs the community’s support. Skaggs was discharged from UC Davis two days for open heart surgery where according to a GoFundMe his friend Brian Klovski set-up, doctors dissected his aorta from his sternum to his groin which “required multiple hours of gnarly surgery.”

Skaggs and his wife have a new baby on the way and due to COVID-19 shutting down The Forest, Skaggs has been out of work for nearly a year. Klovski said that “any donations are appreciated and go directly to help Jarred to pay medical bills and support himself (and soon to be 3 kids) until he’s back up and kicking all the asses.”

Skaggs, being a proud man, Klovski said, “the last thing he wanted was ask for charity. He’s been trying to avoid it, but it’s been too many bad luck bumps over the last year. He’s been helping us for a long time and now he needs your help.”
