Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office is Public Information Officer Captain Greg Van Patten told us that a be on the lookout has been issued for 25-year-old Seth Smart, a white male adult suspected of being involved with an attempted robbery of Talmage Road’s Contreras Meat Market at approximately 4:00 p.m.
Captain Van Patten said Smart had a large knife sheathed to the side of his body and attempted to open the business’s cash register. It was reported to MCSO Smart might have had a firearm in his waistband.
Smart reportedly drove away from the Contreras Meat Market at 1691 Talmage Road as a passenger in a brown Jeep Cherokee.
Captain Van Patten described Smart as 6 feet tall, 175 pounds, with blue eyes and blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a beanie and camouflage clothing.
