[UPDATES]Multi-Casualty Incident Near Philo After Two-Car Collision Results in Seven Patients

As per scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page, a two-car traffic collision involving a Black BMW and a Black Honda Ridgeline resulted in seven patients including a pregnant woman. The Clark Incident Commander declared the collision a “multi-casualty incident.”

Anderson Valley Fire and State Parks officers have responded to the scene. Two air ambulances have been requested and will be landing nearby. One lane is blocked is block as a result of the collision but as per the Traffic Incident Information page, “vehicles can get by.”

A multi-casualty incident within first responder circles is defined as an event that creates excessive demands on personnel and equipment.

The nature of the injuries is unknown at this time.

UPDATE 4:16 p.m.

According to the CHP Traffic Incident Information page, both the Honda Ridgeline and black BMW X5 suffered major front-end damage as a result of the collision.

UPDATE 4:20 p.m.

The incident commander told the dispatcher that three of the patients are being transferred to Ukiah Valley Medical Center and one patient would be transferred to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.

UPDATE 4:33 p.m.

Scanner traffic indicates the Incident Commander has cancelled all incoming medical units due to all patients being cared for at the scene.
