[Update: 1:02 p.m.] Firefighters Respond to Escaped Burn Pile on Highway 253 Burning One Acre of Vegetation

Ukiah Valley Fire Authority and other fire personnel are responding to an escaped burn pile that has burned approximately one acre of vegetation, as per scanner reports. The reporting party told dispatch no immediate structures are threatened.

Dispatch described the Boonville Incident as near the address of 8750 Boonville Road off of Highway 253 

UPDATE 12:54 p.m.

The Incident Commander told dispatch that locals are taking action on the fire and are “unsure if they want assistance or not.” The incident commander was unsure as to what actions fire fighters will be taking at this time.
