Categories:

Scanner traffic indicates at approximately 8:20 a.m. police, fire, and ambulance were called to 500 Oak Manor Drive, the address of Ukiah’s Oak Manor Park, in response to reports of a “man down, possibly deceased.” First responders confirmed the individual was in fact deceased and requested a Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputy Coroner respond to the scene.

Responding officers suggested they block off various entrances to the park to contain the scene.

We reached out to Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Captain Greg Van Patten regarding the circumstances and are awaiting a statement.

UPDATE 11:58 a.m. [Warning: Graphic Photograph]

Ukiah resident Fran Roeber photographed first responders at scene of the deceased individual. From the photographs, it looks as if the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office, Ukiah Police Department, and the Ukiah Vally Fire Authority were on scene.

This is a developing story. Some things reported by the media will later turn out to be wrong. We will focus on reports from officials and other authorities, credible news outlets and reporters who are at the scene. We will update as the situation develops.
