Lake County Man Who Shot and Killed His Wife and Turned the Gun on Himself Has Succumbed to His Injuries

Categories:

The Lake County man who shot and killed his wife before turning the gun on himself has succumbed to the self-inflicted injuries, according to a press release written by Lieutenant Corey Paulich, Lake County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer.

Lieutenant Paulich identified the man as 60-year-old Kenneth Lovelady, and explained deputies believe Lovelady shot and killed his 56-year-old wife Laura, and then took his own life.” The motive for the killings appear to be “related to a domestic dispute.”

Lieutenant Paulich’s press release noted his agency had no history of domestic disputes between the husband and wife and had “minimal contact” with them.

Lieutenant Paulich explained “Both Kenneth and Laura appear to have died as a result of single gunshot wounds.”  Official autopsies will take place today, April 22, Lieutenant Paulich said.

If anyone has information regarding this circumstance, contact Detective Dean Preader at 707-262-4231.
