The USDA Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) is allowing identified CalFresh households impacted by the weather and PSPS events that occurred between January 18, 2021, and January 31, 2021, to request replacements for food loss. FNS has approved a Timely Reporting Waiver for the following identified Mendocino County zip code areas: Branscomb, Covelo, Dos Rios, Laytonville, Redwood Valley, Willits, Leggett, and Piercy. If your household was on CalFresh and lost food due to power outages between January 18, 2021, and January 31, 2021, you may request a replacement of your CalFresh benefits, by calling your County eligibility specialist or submitting a replacement affidavit through C4Yourself.com or getcalfresh.org. You may also contact the County offices, by calling 707-463-7700 for Ukiah or 707-962-1000 for Fort Bragg, to assist you in your request for replacement CalFresh benefits. Replacement requests must be received no later than April 30, 2021.
