Categories:

The following is a press released issued by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

Nicholas Pollard [Mugshot from the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office]

On 04-24-2021 at around 11:30 PM, a homeowner contacted the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Dispatch Center and reported a burglary in-progress in the 32000 block of Pearl Drive in Fort Bragg, California.

The homeowner was out of the area and was viewing a live video feed of the suspect(s) attempting to force entry into his residence.

Deputies responded and checked the residence, finding damages to a garage door, consistent with an attempted burglary.

Deputies and a Sheriff’s Sergeant with his K9 partner “SAM” began checking the area around the residence.  An area of likely escape onto an adjacent property was located and a K9 deployment warning announcement was made.

Nicholas Pollard immediately responded and announced he would surrender.  Deputies entered the thick brush and contacted Pollard.  Pollard was detained and was found to be intoxicated.

Pollard was transported and booked into Mendocino County Jail where he was to be held in lieu of $50,000.00 bail.
