Good Day residents and visitors of Willits, just a little reminder and information from your Police Department. During 2020, the City of Willits experienced 83 reported traffic accidents. So far in 2021, we have seen a significant reduction of 23 reported accidents which we believe is partially due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As we all know, summertime is rapidly approaching and we expect an increase of traffic on our community roadways. We have identified area of focus, such as school zones, crosswalks, and main thoroughfares that are a priority for traffic enforcement.

We ask that if you see a reckless driver or someone you feel may be driving under the influence, please call 9-1-1 ?? Try to provide the best description possible of the vehicle such as the color, make, model, and license plate. A driver’s description can help as well. Let us all do our community part to chip in. Good luck to all this summer and please remember to drive safe!
