Firefighters Extinguish Illegal Debris Fire Burning on Commercial Cannabis Grow Between Ukiah and Hopland

Scanner traffic indicates fire personnel responded to an illegal debris fire burning on a commercial cannabis grow between Ukiah and Hopland on McNab Ranch Frontage Road near mile marker 16 of Highway 101.

The Incident Commander told dispatch the responsible party claimed the blaze was merely a “cooking fire.”

The fire was successfully extinguished but fire personnel have requested a Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office deputy respond to the scene.
