Today, in Round Valley, the County of Mendocino Marijuana Enforcement Team (COMMET) is serving a search warrant on the valley floor “in regards to an active investigation,” as per Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Captain Greg Van Patten.
A Covelo resident told us they witnessed “six undercover trucks” and tribal officers on a property near Round Valley Transfer station on Refuse Road. The witness described officers “cutting the weed plants and tearing down the greenhouses.”
Photographs provided by the Covelo resident show a property against a hillside cluttered with old vehicles, makeshift fencing, and PVC hoop houses typically used for cannabis cultivation.
