A single-vehicle accident at approximately 3:00 a.m. on Highway 20 just east of Fort Bragg left a person dead and three other injured, as per a review of scanner traffic at the time.
Initial reports heard on the scanner indicated California Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle accident near mile marker 3.7 with four patients involved, including two juveniles.
Medical personnel at the scene described an 11-year-old patient experiencing seizures and another juvenile complaining of stomach pains
Mendocino County Sheriff Office’s Public Information Officer Captain Greg Van Patten confirmed that a coroner was dispatched to the scene but at this point, the individual’s name cannot be released because the “spouse was air lifted to another county for treatment and we weren’t able to conduct next of kin notification as a result.”
We have reached out to the California Highway Patrol Ukiah office for more information regarding the incident but were told access to the public information officer could not occur till business hours on Monday.
So sad prayers for his loved ones he was a nice guy always smiling and happy ??
