At approximately 1:20 p.m., scanner traffic indicated Mendocino County Sheriff deputies and other law enforcement began responding to an area near the intersection of Covelo Street and William Street in Mendocino regarding a fight between a man and a woman.
Reportedly, the female party hit the man with her truck and the male began to strike the female’s truck with a sledge hammer.
The suspect vehicle driven by the female reportedly fled the scene. The vehicle is described as a green Nissan pickup truck with a damaged windshield.
