A picture of tonight’s traffic collision [Provided by a Round Valley Resident]

Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicate a single-vehicle traffic collision near the intersection of Highway 162 and Biggar Lane has left the westbound lane blocked.

Medical personnel has been called to the scene to address two patients including a Reach air ambulance.

UPDATE 9:46 p.m.: There is conflicting information being offered via scanner and the CHP Traffic Incident Information page. The scanner described the traffic incident as single-vehicle yet the CHP Incident Information describes the incident as a two-vehicle collision.

A Covelo resident reached out to us and told us they saw multiple vehicles involved with the incident and she also saw “bodies lying in the road.”

UPDATE 9:49 p.m.: Two patients are being taken to the Round Valley Airport where a ground ambulance will rendevous with them.

UPDATE 9:55 p.m.: Reach air ambulance has confirmed they will meet the patients at the Round Valley Airport.
