Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page both indicates semi-truck has jackknifed on Highway 101 just south of the Ridgewood Summit blocking one lane and requiring traffic control.
First responders have arrived to the scene and determined no injuries resulted from the collision. They are working on clearing the road to allow traffic to move freely once again.
The Caltrans Quickmap indicates traffic is significantly slowed on the northbound side of Highway 101 as first responders work to address this incident.
UPDATE 3:09 p.m.: The CHP Traffic Incident Information Page indicates the #1 lane of Highway 101 is open while the #2 lane is still partially blocked.
UPDATE 3:25 p.m.: This image is from the Caltrans Quickmap clearly depicts traffic backed up considerably as first responders work to clear the roadway.
UPDATE 3:30 p.m.: A reader has reported they drove by the scene and witnessed the considerable traffic snarl but did not seen the semi-truck blocking any lanes of Highway 101.
UPDATE 3:26 p.m.: The Caltrans Quickmap indicates traffic is once again flowing.
