Redwood Valley-Calpella firefighters were dispatched at approximately 8:00 a.m. regarding a fire that burned in vegetation within the burn scar of Wednesday’s 80 acre Broiler Fire. The Incident Commander described the fire as a “small spot” with “no spread.”
Scanner traffic indicates the fire was limited in size and required only the Redwood Valley-Calpella fire agency to respond.
Yesterday, Redwood Valley-Calpella Chief Don Dale his crews would be working on hotspots throughout the affected area and suggested this weekend’s winds and heat could contribute to potential flare-ups throughout the area.
