[UPDATE: Patient Recovered]Emergency Personnel Responding to an Individual Stuck on a River Bar Near Frog Woman Rock

At approximately 2:15 p.m., scanner traffic indicated emergency personnel were dispatched to the Russian River nearby Frog Woman Rock along Highway 101 regarding reports of a person stuck on a river bar.

The location of the incident is reportedly “the last turn out before the bridge” where first responders will find a green Chevrolet Blazer SUV and then follow a trail down to the river where they will reportedly find the individual.

Hopland Fire, Cloverdale Ambulance, and other agencies are responding to the scene.

UPDATE 2:31 p.m.: Emergency personnel have located the patient, are currently at his side, and are working on a strategy to assist the patient across the river.

UPDATE 2:39 p.m.: A rescue team has gathered a stokes carry, saw, Gatorade, and other rescue gear to assist in the extrication of the patient.

UPDATE 3:17 p.m.: Scanner traffic indicates the patient was successfully recovered at on the roadside.
