Scanner traffic at approximately 12:34 p.m. indicated an ATV driver suffered a back injury after the vehicle rolled on top of him on the 7200 block of Branscomb Road southeast of Laytonville. A REACH air ambulance has been dispatched to the scene .
Laytonville Fire Department arrived on scene and requested Cal Fire personnel for additional resources.
The REACH air ambulance reportedly was filling up its fuel tanks in Willits then heading northward toward the crash site.
UPDATE 1:06 p.m.: Laytonville Fire Department Chief Sue Carberry has confirmed that REACH 18 air ambulance is en route to the Weaverville Air Strip where the patient with be transferred and taken to a hospital. She told us the patient is also suffering a laceration to the head as a result of the collision.
