[UPDATE: Affected Residences Reduced to 592] Significant Power Outage Being Reported by Redwood Valley Residents

At approximately 7:35 p.m. residents of Redwood Valley took to social media to report their homes had lost power. The Redwood Valley Community Awareness and Information group has at least two dozen separate residents experiencing a power outage.

Pacific Gas & Electric’s power outage map indicates the outage is affecting Ellen Lynn Road, West Road, East School Way, N Road, Forsythe Drive, and Round-Up Lane.

It is difficult to determine the number of residents affected by the map, but at least 50 residents can be deduced from the information. The map indicates “PG&E has assigned a crew to assess the outage” and the power is estimated to be restored by 2:15 a.m.

UPDATE 8:10 p.m. At the minimum, 500 residences of Redwood Valley are now in the dark as the PG&E outage map updated their information. The extent of the outage has grown ranging from the north and south end of the valleys and west of Highway 101 up Reeves Canyon Road and others.

UPDATE 8:13 p.m.: Reports from residents have emerged that a robocall from PG&E indicated 1,200 separate residences have been affected by this evening’s outage.

UPDATE: 8:33 p.m.: A resident sent us a text message they received from PG&E regarding the outage that indicated crews are expected to be onsite by 8:20 p.m. and customers should expect the power to be restored by 2:15 a.m.

UPDATE 10:48 p.m.: The PG&E Outage map indicates crews are on scene assessing the cause of the outage and is estimating now 592 residents are without power.
