Scanner traffic and the California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident Information page indicate that a black Dodge truck struck a fire hydrant in Fort Bragg at 10:50 a.m. and the driver subsequently fled.
The driver who reportedly fled is described as a white, male adult with tan shorts. The truck came to rest in a field approximately 50 feet off the roadway and reportedly has moderate front-end damage.
