[UPDATE: Not As Reported] Firefighters and Police Responding to Debris Fire in Willits After Adult Male Seen Lighting It and Fleeing

Scanner traffic beginning at approximately 8:30 p.m. indicated firefighters and law enforcement are responding to Highway 101 in the Willits area near mile marker 55.75 after a male was seen riding a bike away from a debris pile he lit on fire.

The suspect was described as a white, adult male in a camouflage jacket.

UPDATE 8:50 p.m.: Scanner traffic indicates California Highway Patrol officers have one person detained.

UPDATE 8:53 p.m.: The Incident Commander said the circumstances surrounding the call were “not as reported.”
