Upper and Lower Russian River Water Curtailments Suspended as Rain Bears Down on North Coast

The following is an announcement published by the State Water Resources Control Board

The Division of Water Rights is temporarily suspending all curtailments in the Lower Russian River Watershed, effective 12:00 am, Thursday, October 21, 2021, and all curtailments in the Upper Russian River Watershed, effective 12:00 pm, Saturday, October 23, 2021. Temporary curtailment suspensions are likely to last until at least November 1st. The Division continues to closely monitor hydrologic forecasts and real-time conditions, and will reevaluate the suspensions as conditions and forecasts change. If specific water rights are authorized to divert under a temporary curtailment suspension, they will be shared on the Russian River Drought email list and updated on the Russian River Watershed Curtailment Status List below.
