Scanner traffic beginning at approximately 9:15 p.m. indicated a residential structure fire was burning at the Eel River Campground on Mendocino Pass Road east of Covelo. Initial reports indicated a trailer was burning.
The Incident Commander, after laying eyes on the incident, is reporting that initial reports were incorrect and said a vehicle is fully involved, unoccupied, and no structures are threatened.
Covelo Fire and CAL FIRE personnel have both been dispatched to the incident.
UPDATE 9:40 p.m.: The Incident Commander described the fire as contained.
