Warrant Check at Willits Residence Results in Charges Including Possession of Cannabis by Convicted Sex Offender, Firearm, and Other Cannabis Crimes

Categories:

The following is a press release issued by the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:

On 11-11-2021 at approximately 9:55 PM, A Mendocino County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle being driven by Rafael Govea-Lopez near the intersection of North Highway 101 and Black Bart Drive in Willits, California.

The Deputy conducted a wants/warrants records check which revealed Govea-Lopez had an outstanding felony warrant for his arrest (11370.1 H&S- Possession of a Controlled Substance and a Loaded Firearm).   The Deputy found firearm ammunition components in the vehicle which belonged to Govea-Lopez.

Govea-Lopez was arrested for the listed outstanding arrest warrant and booked into the Mendocino County Jail.

The Deputy was aware that Govea-Lopez resided at a residence at the 1700 block of Main Street in Willits and was privy that law enforcement had received several calls for service at the residence for the reports of gun fire.

A search warrant was obtained for the residence where Govea-Lopez resided.  Deputies served the search warrant  on 11-12-2021 at about 1:45 AM and located Harold Knight and Alberto Morfin.

  1. Hey Sean, are you even able to comprehend anything? Did you read the article? The “hispanic” male was pulled over for a traffic violation, therefore the deputies served a search warrant for his home. The male, Harold knight, which you seemed to leave out here.. IS A CONVICTED CHILD SEX OFFENDER! WAY DIFFERENT CHARGES THAN THE HISPANIC MALE!! BUT YOU DONT EVEN CARE ABOUT THAT, SINCE OBVIOUSLY YOURE A RACIST & ALL YOU DO IS BASH HISPANICS.. AND COMMENT OVER & OVER AGAIN.. IM SICK OF SEEING YOU IN THE COMMENTS SECTION DUDE!! Yes they are all in the wrong but come on!! Zip it! Enough is enough. This guy needs to be blocked!!

    • Let’s talk about why I do not block Sean. His racist trolling represents some of the most troubling aspects of the American psyche. The consistent dehumanization, the willingness to make assumptions without context, and almost a Loki-esque pride in the chaos it brings. He’s a one-trick-pony troll with a racist card up his sleeve.

So, why don’t I block him? The only solution to this sort of speech is shining a light on it. As we all know, just because we’ve seen a rise in politically-correct culture and racism moved out of the light and into the dark during from the 1980s-2000s, the era of Trump reminded us dangerous thinking pushed to the margins can reemerge in fertile times.

I will not block Sean. He wants that. He wants to be blocked so he can say the “liberal media” couldn’t handle his truth. To block him would seal his martyrdom.

How do we fight a Sean in our lives? Understand they exist, might not change, but let a sea of voices speak louder than his. My hope is my commenters will never let Sean get away with his nonsense. Dog pile, point out the hypocrisy, the unkindness, the simple black and white thinking he espouses.

As to jess., I guess you’ve got a pretty low threshold for when you start throwing around the term racist. What about when a news network interviews someone with racist notions? Is that news network racist? What if a member of my family is racist but I still love them and have an active relationship with them? Am I a racist? Your world of racism-by-proxy or racism-by-proximity seems self-limiting. Can anyone pass your purity test of anti-racist?

  2. You took the bait Matty. OF COURSE we know you’re NOT racist, but i so much wanted to know WHY you were’nt speaking up about this ‘sean’ person, so i said something’ to try to get your goat and get you to speak up. THANKYOU for gettin’ the rudder back in the water. I hope your comments are correct. Thankyou again and my deepest apologies to your good name. It was a low blow.

  3. Basically all I’m saying is ,”If you can’t find a way to encourage someone or say something nice to someone, just for the sheer beauty of being kind and making the world around you a better place, then that says volumes about who you have allowed yourself to become as a person!

Just because our moral compass, “The 10 Commandments” of God have been taken down from the walls of our society does not make them null and void. You can find them in the Holy Bible just google them.

We are influenced by what we read, watch, and listen to. When the bad news, filthy movies, etc. , start shaping who you are as a person and influencing the way that you act and treat others, it’s time to turn it off and open your Bible! Or at least focus on the good.

Don’t magnify the bad.Throw a bucket of water on it instead! Do something nice!
