Festival of Lights at Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens

The following is a press release issued by the Mendocino County Botanical Gardens

Don’t miss the best light show on the coast! The 11th annual Festival of Lights will run rain or shine every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening from November 26 through December 19 at the Mendocino Coast Botanical Gardens (MCBG).

This year it is all about the lights! MCBG staff and volunteers began prepping for the event back in October… countless hours spent stringing thousands of twinkling lights. While strolling the one-way loop keep an eye out for the new prehistoric character towering more than thirty feet above the Perennial Garden. This year there will be no tented area, food, or drinks so bundle up and enjoy the inventive displays created by our staff and volunteers.

Advanced tickets are required! Tickets for the event are $10 each. Children age 16 and under attend for free. Timed entry tickets (5PM, 6PM, or 7PM) must be purchased online prior to arriving at the Gardens. Dress for winter weather, the event will run rain or shine. Masks are required indoors and outdoors regardless of vaccination status during this special event. Dogs are not allowed at the Festival of Lights. Parking is free but very limited, please plan to carpool. Visit for full details and to get tickets.

The Gardens’ board, staff, and volunteers are excited to bring back this beloved holiday event. Make a trip to the Gardens this winter, day or night, to appreciate the beauty and hard work that goes into maintaining this 47-acre botanical destination.
