Fire Personnel On Scene of a Quarter-Acre Wildfire North of Covelo

Scanner traffic beginning around 8:10 p.m. indicated fire personnel were been dispatched to an unknown type of fire reportedly located north of Covelo on Mina Road north of the intersection with Agency Road.

The Incident Commander reported the fire as one-quarter acre, moving at a slow rate of spread, and burning in grass and oak woodlands. He told dispatch the fire could be handled by crews now actively on scene.

The first crews on the scene described the fire as a 300′ line of fire burning on the hillside.

We will do our best to get the facts but, in the case that something is inaccurate, we will update with correct information as soon as we can.

Please remember, this map is an approximate location of the fire
