Firefighters Quickly Extinguish Two Burning Vehicles in Covelo

Scanner traffic beginning at 4:38 p.m. indicated a large black column of smoke had been spotted near the intersection of Covelo’s Henderson Road and Henderson Lane.

The Henderson Incident Commander reported upon arrival at the scene that he had located two vehicles actively near the location.

At 4:51 p.m. the Incident Commander reported the fire had been successfully contained and estimated the fires would be mopped up in 30 minutes.

Both Covelo Fire Department and Cal Fire were dispatched to the call.
